Doctor Brian Smith is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio Dental School, and completed his training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Baylor University in Dallas, and a fellowship in oral and maxillofacial reconstruction at the University of Miami. From 1993 to 1998, Doctor Smith served as the chairman of the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University Medical Center. Outside the office, Dr. Smith enjoys bicycle racing, running, traveling with his family, and reading.
Doctor Smith is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Academy of Osseointegration (a leading dental implant research and training organization). He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and has served as a board examiner for that organization for over 10 years.
Doctor Smith's clinical interests include dental implantology and anesthesia. He is also certified by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
